On 26th October, 2019, we went on a trip to the Hortobágy National Park with students and teachers from the University Preparatory and Stipendium Hungaricum Training

We visited the Lake Tisza Ecocentre in Poroszló, where beside the giant freshwater aquarium, we were able to see many indigenous animals: otter feeding, fallow deer presentation, European badger, golden jackals, red foxes, cormorants and pelicans.

After watching a 3D movie in the cinema showing the wildlife of Lake Tisza, we watched the magical autumn landscape from the lookout tower.

Then we continued our journey to Hortobágy, where our students could taste the gray beef stew cooked in a cauldron in the garden of the Hortobágy Csárda.

After a delicious lunch, we took part in the autumn feast of nature, the feast on St. Dömötör's Day and the crane festival programs.

To close the eventful day, on the lookout point somewhere between Balmazújváros and Tiszacsege we watched the cranes flying away above us at the sunset ...

On the 22nd of October, the Tempus Public Foundation celebrated its welcome event with more than 200 foreign students coming from all over Hungary to this greeting. The freshmen’s encouragement was in focus. The motivational power was given by many colorful programs: two SH students from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music with their nice little concert on violin, followed by motivational speeches and finally traditional Hungarian folk music and dance. In the afternoon, a pleasant walk guided the students through some scenes of the capital, highlighting local history. The day ended with a fun, playful group activity with the aim of exploring the challenges and positive experiences that students had experienced as a foreigner during their stay in Hungary. The event highlighted the true nature of the sentence that the audience could learn from an alumni student during the day: „One piece You bring from your country, one-piece You bring from Hungary to your country.” Through this rich program, students have been able to convince themselves that through persistent learning, they can gain valuable knowledge through the wise use of training and scholarship opportunities. During the event, students could learn, among other things, that an international SH alumni meeting is expected in May 2020.

On the 13rd of September The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade welcomed about 80 students from 14 countries to the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship training in the Academic Year of 2019-2020.

During the greeting event general information, training rules were given to the scholarship holders. The welcome speaches also targeted the aim to get the Youngsters more prepared for the studies and for their „new” life and challenges.
