THE PREPARATORY PROGRAMME

Hungarian universities are well known for their high quality of education. We are organizing preparatory courses within the Balassi Scholarship Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary (abbr. MFA) for foreign students who would like to study at Hungarian universities.

Our system has been designed and refined since 1957, thus we can offer the most effective course for students whose aim is to take a successful university entrance exam.

Learning the Hungarian language and reaching an advanced level in a field specific vocabulary in Hungarian are not just mere criteria but at the same time also give an overwhelming experience for our students. Refreshing their knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Maths –  a subject chosen according to their needs for the university studies – and using Hungarian terminology are essential for their university years.

Stipendium Hungaricum

With our experience we were happy to join the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship. This programme was founded by the Hungarian Government as part of their „Eastern and Southern” opening policy in 2013, and its aim is to give the opportunity for foreign students who plan to study in the Hungarian higher education. This new policy has opened a new horizon for MFA-Balassi to make Hungarian language and culture well-known.

Hungarian Preparatory Programme in MFA-Balassi

Within the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, MFA-BALASSI offers a ten-month long preparatory programme of university studies. The speciality of this programme is that it involves intensive learning of both Hungarian language and field specific subjects. Besides up-to-date language teaching methods, our own modern field specific materials enable the students to prepare efficiently for their further studies. Completing the programme enables students to apply for university entry in the various fields of scholarship.

Location

The preparatory programme takes in a building in the downtown of Budapest, near the Western Railway Station:
1065 Budapest, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky street 57. III. building.
